Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Problem installing Visual Micro (1404.01)

Hello. I've downloaded most recent version of the installer (1404.01) but it reports an error and quits with exit code 1603 in Windows log.

Error is: Quote:
Product: Visual Micro for Arduino -- Error 1723. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A DLL required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.  Action DIRCA_CheckFX, entry: CheckFX, library: C:\Users\Sanja\AppData\Local\Temp\MSI4A5B.tmp


I am using Windows 8.1 x86, and Visual Studio 2010. I already use oldeer version of VisualMicro.

Hi,

For some reason, for a couple of users, Microsoft do not have permission to unpack and run their own installer. So the solution is to ensure your name is added to the temp permissions as follows:-

The solution is to go into c:\users\"username"\AppData\Local\ then right click on "temp" and choose "properies". Choose "security" --> edit --> add, and add the username you are using, and give yourself all rights.
