Whenever I try and upload my code to my Arduino via the bootloader, I always get this message.  It seems that somewhere a path hasn't been set.  If I try and execute the same code via a command box, it works if I execute it from the "c:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware\tools\avr\bin" folder.

Hi Terry,

That's the Atmel Studio version.

Please run the Arduino Ide and look at the application title bar to see the version.

Thanks

Also, when I try and run the Arduino IDE, I get "java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino\hardware/tools/avr/bin/avrdude": CreateProcess error=193, %1 is not a valid Win32 application
"

Hi,

Thanks for testing with the Arduino Ide.

It sounds like your Arduino install is corrupted. I would download the zip and unpack into C:\Program Files (x86)\Arduino

I would run a repair usining an installer from arduino.cc

edit: however you say it works when running manually. Can I suggest you post on the arduino forum about this. If you fix the Arduino Ide I think visual Micro will also work.

I uninstalled the Arduino IDE and then reinstalled it and that seems to have fixed the problem.
