Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post

Visual Micro Not Compile Visual Studio 2013..was compiling before

So I am trying to figure out what happened. This morning I was able to compile my code on Windows 8.1 running Visual Studio 2013 Community. 

All of a sudden it seems like I am stuck in compiling. Output screen will say:
Compiling  my project.
Binary of my file size

Normally it will tell me that compile completed but nothing right now. Seems like it is stuck. 

Any suggestions?

The output says: 

Compiling 'ProjectV1' for 'Arduino Mega 2560 or Mega ADK'
Binary sketch size: 28,828 bytes (used 11% of a 258,048 byte maximum) (0.25 secs)




It used to tell me compile completed.

also if I leave it to try and finish compiling, it will crash my computer now

ok seems to be working now after doing a full uninstall of Visual Micro and deleting the registry for it.

Hi,

The registry only remembers the COM port for upload and only if it has not been set for a project. That was certainly a usb error so the uninstall/reinstall must have actually caused the ide to close fully or some other strange resolution.

The binary sketch size message has only ever been the message to confirm successful compile.
