Hello folks,

I often use the Reference in the Micro Explorer, but now it is empty....  Embarrassed
There is only the word "Reference" and that's it.

Is there anything I can do to get the Reference working again??
Thanks a lot, Andy

Oh yes I forgot they moved the reference help files. Will update vm for next release.

You will find the html files below the arduino folder...

arduino-1.6.1\reference\arduino.cc\en\Reference

I would like to get the references tab working, if possible, without waiting for an update.

Is there a way to fix it manually?

I found this Visual Micro file in this location:

  C:\Program Files\Visual Micro\Visual Micro for Arduino\Micro Platforms\applications.txt

It appears to have information about setting the reference path in this value:

  arduino16x.ide.help.reference.path={runtime.ide.path}\reference

I tried updating this value to point to the actual references as such:

  arduino16x.ide.help.reference.path=C:\Program Files\Arduino\reference\arduino.cc\en\Reference

However, that didn't seem to work. Are these settings used at all in Visual Micro? Or is this now hard coded inside Visual Micro?

Hi,

Well spotted. The properties were designed but never implemented. They were implemented yesterday Smiley

We are just finishing off the work for the arduino 1.6.2+ changes and should be making a new release during the next 48 hours (i hope)

Did you see the link below of how to find the references that come with the arduino ide? The toolchains are below the arduino ide hardware and they also often have some references. Visual micro just shows what can be found at the various locations.
