Duplicate Menu Items?

Hello

Just upgraded to the latest version of AS7  7.0.1006 & VM fro AS7 1607.7.0.

In AS7 File.New Project has two apparently identical lines for Arduino Sketch and also two more for Arduino Sketch (32bit Due or Zero).

Is there any difference?

Sounds like the templates are in twice for some reason. They are zip file in the templates folder so easily changed or removed.

Under Program Files (x86), searching for "visual micro" yields 10 "templates", 3 underAtmel\Studio\Extensions, which one to delete?

Maybe you had the original beta of as7 installed. I can't see how there can be duplicates otherwise.

I would uninstall visual micro from "tools>extensions and updates". After that remove any remaining visualmicro_ templates then reinstall.

One thought. It's possible to cause duplicates if you have used the File>Export Template option. This would clone the current project into a new template but the zip won't start with visualmicro_ so ignore if not relevant.

fyi: All visual stduio and atmel templates are just zip file. If they exist in the folder(s) they are displayed in the File>New>Project wizard. They are not menu items.

Reinstall vm after cleanup, settings will be preserved.
