Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Hi,
I install a new VS2017, and try to install visual micro. it keep failing the log is attached. my VS 2015 is working fine.

Hi,

Maybe that is a problem with the vsix installer temp folder. Microsoft manage the code to install extensions. The error indicates some issue with the windows wmi management searcher object but it might be a permissions problem.

Having said that there is a new release of Visual Micro drops back to an older extension format and has just been   
published. Maybe the change of version number or change of format will help.

Please try the latest release of visual micro. If that still fails then ensure your visual studio 2017 is on the latest vs service packs via "tools>extensions and updates>updates".

If all else fails then try running the extension installer (.vsix) with admin rights.

Failing that report the issue on microsoftconnect to see if anyone can shed light on the error.
