VMicro menu not working

Problem description:
I'm having an issue where the buttons under VMicro tab will not do anything. The menu itself is responsive but nothing I click in there seems to have an effect, the menu just disappears as it should but nothing happens then.
The "Ide" and "Board" drop down lists are blank when clicking the down arrow by them.
The header of a library I had installed is not being found anymore (DueTimer.h)

Additional info:
-Installed and integrated Intel VTune Amplifier 2018 to Visual Studio a few days ago for use with another project, and hadn't tried compiling this VMicro project since then
-Trial version of VMicro and still have 3 days left
-Visual Studio Professional 2013
-Arduino IDE v1.6.4
-Windows 7 64 bits

Steps taken:
-Reboot PC
-Uninstalled VTune
-Reinstalled VMicro
-Googled similar issues

I'd appreciate any ideas on things to try and will be happy to provide additional information.

Sorry about the delay. The trial just relates to debug and a few enhanced functions. Visual Micro is currently free.

Can you tell me how you uninstall visual micro and how you install (from where)

Thanks

Thanks for replying. Please find my procedures for installing/uninstalling VMicro:

Uninstalling:
Tools -> Extensions and Updates -> Arduino IDE for Visual Studio -> Uninstall

Installing:
Visual studio marketplace -> Download and run Visual Micro .vsix installation file

Please let me know if you'd like me to send you screenshots.

Hi,

It might be that you have not applied some windows updates. Just a guess so sorry if wrong. Visual Micro in the gallery was using .net 4.5.1

I think the next release drops back to 4.5 for older systems. You can give it a try if you want.

I have uninstalled VMicro again and installed the version you pointed, that did not seem to have an effect on the menu issue.

I have also checked Windows Update and it says there are no important updates available.

Is there a possibility that this issue could have to do with Intel VTune?

Thanks

I know this is an old thread but I just thought I'd leave a solution here if anyone else happens to run into this issue.

Today I looked into this again and tried reinstalling Visual Studio from programs and features, which did not work.

What I had to do was running a tool calling Visual Studio Total Uninstaller, which does a more thorough job. The tool can be found at the following location:
