Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Control characters in serial window.

I use Control characters like ACK/NACK für Serial communication. Unfortunately I can't see them in the Serial window. Maybe they can be displayed in a different Color with the value 0A or Even name ACK ?

It will also be handy if the terminal reacts to the control characters like \f or \033[2J to clear the screen from code

Yes nice ideas and sorry I missed this thread previously

I will experiment. I know the windows textbox currently used in the monitor can't display anything clever and can't do rtf so it need to change.

The serial reader currently uses the ascii reader and I am not sure if it is the reader or the just the text box that is filtering out the unprintable chars.

Needs investigation.
