Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

I have raised this report in response to an email report of a debug compile failure. 

1)

Please confirm if the compile issues happens in Release mode?

2)

In the links that you emailed, the zip of the arduino sketch program also included a special version of the arduino ide.

It is not clear from the report which arduino ide was being used for the test that worked and which arduino ide is configured in visual micro?


Please answer questions 1 and 2

Please excuse the late reply, I was very busy.

I sent you all the information and also a link to my development environment. Have you generated your own environment?
Did you have the same problems?

If you have not created the appropriate development environment for your tests, going further with this issue will no longer make sense to me.

This would then mean that I have to rethink whether I can recommend your product to our customers.
This would be a pity, since I was always satisfied with your product and service. Undecided

1. I have the same problems in release mode as well.



2. I use a standard Arduino IDE version: 1.8.1.
      Here is a link to a ZIP file

Please switch on vMicro>Compiler>Verbose and also "Show build properties" which is on the same menu.

Then click "Build>Clean Solution"

Then click Build and then copy the output into a .txt file and email to info[at]visualmicro.com along with a link to this post.
