If com port changes, serial monitor doesn't open

I am running repeated tests of a couple robots. If I change from one to the other, the com port can change too. When this happens, the serial monitor doesn't open and I can't find a way to get it to open. The upload to the new port works, but the Serial Monitor won't open.

How do I force it to open?

Hi

after upload...

If you have debug enabled the monitor will open for the upload port

If you have debug enabled and have set a port override using "vMicro>Debugger>Local Port" the monitor will open on that port.

If you have debug enabled and have set a port override set using F4 project properties then that port will always open in the monitor after upload.

If you do not have debug enabled then the monitor will not open automatically after upload unless you have set vMicro>Upload>Show serial monitor.

Does this help?
