After to have installed addin..msi and when I am opening Visual Studio 2010 following message is displayed

Visual Micro failed to create command bar items

Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: value
---------------------------
OK� �
---------------------------
Meanwhile it seems to be working well.

I have verified later this happens when arduino uno is not connected to COM port.

Thanks for the note. I am pleased it's working. Although I think you might be missing some tool bar or menu items.

Few questions...

Are you using an english version of visual studio? If not then please tell me which language?

Do you get the error each time you open visual studio or was it just once?

It happens always and this message remains when I try to close it.
I have verified this happens when arduino Uno is not connected to COM port.

Hi all,

I'm facing the same problem.
When I open Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate it shows the popup with the bar item failure...
After that it gives me a popup saying the menu has already been created and it creates another menu... and another and another...

So I only get the first popup once, and the second one loops continuously, creating a whole bunch of Arduino menu-items.

I tried the reset addin...

Any ideas?

few questions

what version have you installed?

can you please switch on the "user interface>trace" in version 10.11 (in the tools>options>visual micro>user interface options)

then run the \resetaddin (do you have the syntax for this?)

then open up VS and send me the resulting trace file which will exist in your visual micro installation

in windows explorer you will need to grant all users access to write to the visual micro install path
