Hi,

If you follow the first point in the f.a.q in the vs2010/as6 section this will implement what the installer is failing to implement.

For license key reset please email your key to info[at]visualmicro.com

By the way you should be using VS2013 or Vs2015 which uses the latest version of Visual Micro.

Visual Studio 2010 is obsolete and no longer maintained. Vs2013 and Vs2015 community editions are free.

For the newer versions, Visual Micro uses a more modern installer that doesn't suffer from these permissions issues.

unfortunately I have a licensed professional version of VS2010 :(

Edit: Thanks!!!!! I had read that part but thought it didn't apply to me as my installation gave an error :p

I do my personal Arduino development on my company laptop on the company VS2010 professional license. I hope my boss is willing to update our VS license :p

Vs2013/15 community appear to have everything that 2010 pro had and more.

You don't have to un-install 2010 so it can be mothballed just in case you find a need for it.
