Title: ESP8266, SPIFFs data upload tool.
Post by rmathis on Oct 1st, 2015 at 3:35pm
Currently Arduino provides menu choices for running scripts from the {sketch directory?} in the tools directory. This is how ESP8266/Arduino is uploading files to SPIFF from the IDE. Is there a way for MicroVisual to add this menu as well? Or a way ESP8266 devs can do this? Basically these  types of tools can be stored in the sketch directory/tools/'some tool' and it will appear in the menu. Then if you have a data directory in your solution folder it will upload those files to the SPIFFs on the ESP8266.

Hi...as per my knowledge in Arduino Press Tools > Esp8266 Sketch Data Upload. It should upload Spiff files to your esp8266.After it completes, Open Arduino Serial Window and then , Upload code to arduino.
Arduino will automatically switch com port to Serial Display when done.Check your file Contents and Errors.

Hi ricky, not sure if your post was a mistake. Visual micro does as you describe. Click "VMicro>Upload WWW" that uploads the project\data folder (spiffs). Serial monitor will auto disconnect and reconnect if connected.
