Title: Build and Upload running twice? Post by Acuario on Oct 15th, 2015 at 5:35am
Hi,
I just updated to the 12th October version and have a strange thing happening. When I click on the 'Build and upload' icon on the toolbar it appears as if 2 builds are simultaneously started - I see it starting up twice in the Output window. The resulting output shows: Compiling 'Test' for 'Arduino Nano w/ ATmega328' Uploading to I/O board using 'COM17' Binary sketch size: 28,430 bytes (used 93% of a 30,720 byte maximum) (1.46 secs) Minimum Memory Usage: 1512 bytes (74% of a 2048 byte maximum) Uploading to I/O board using 'COM17' avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\\.\COM17": Access is denied. Done uploading This didn't happen on previous versions. |

Thanks for the info.
Which Ide are you using and what are you clicking to upload? Thanks |

Visual Studio 2015 professional. The latest October 12th build of Visual Studio (installed via the visual studio notifications link).
I click on the VS toolbar button 'Build and upload' |

Thanks, can you please try the Green Toolbar arrow or F5 instead and see if that does one or two upload attempts

Not sure what you mean by the green toolbar button but F5 does a single build and upload. If you mean the '> Local Windows Debugger' button then yes, this only does a single build/upload.

Yes that's what I meant. Thanks for the report there will be a new release over the next few days.
