Title: DUE bin file format
Post by Gilles Plante on Apr 25th, 2016 at 1:51pm
Hi all,

does someone know where I can find a description of the bin file format for the DUE ?

I need to know because I will need to edit a string outside the editor to set the serail number of the equipment. And my guess is that there is some form of check value, like a CRC for example I will need to recompute.

Many thanks !

Not sure. It might be documented here http://www.atmel.com/webdoc/atmelstudio/index.html

Hi Tim,

thanks for the link, unfortunately I haven't found anything about the formatĀ  :-[. I googled everything I can think about, haven't found it. Looks like well kept, as the secret of the Caramilk.

I think it is standard intel format but maybe you can't do it unless you build the hex from the .elf after altering the .elf

You might only need to distribute a couple of the sam tool chain .exe's to do that along with your .elf.

Just guessing
