Title: BOSSAC - settings
Post by Marius on Sep 11th, 2017 at 11:11am
Hi
I am using an Adafruit SAMD21 mini breakout. For some reason the programming or uploading became very slow. It would seem that the whole chip is being erased and reprogrammed where before it took only a couple of seconds. It could be as much as one minute or more at this stage.
Is there some place where I can set the BOSSAC parameters in VM?

Hi,

The params should be read from the platform.txt in the adafruit board core. It would be useful to know if the arduino ide is the same? which version of adafruit you have installed? if you updated it recently?

You can also switch on vmicro>compiler>show board properties and the >verbose option. Then after a build you will see more clearly the build and upload params that have been read from the core.

If you want to experiment with different settings, you can then create a local board.txt file in the project root of the solution explorer then add overrides for any core settings that you have discovered. If you find settings you prefer there are ways to change the settings for all boards but it's not worth discussing until you know what you need, so use board.ttx to experiment.

Is vMicro>Uploader>Verify checked or not?

Firstly I made a mistake, I am using the Sparkfun SAMD boards v1.4.0

VM upload verify is not on.

The rest I will report back on.
