Title: Control characters in serial window.

I use Control characters like ACK/NACK für Serial communication. Unfortunately I can't see them in the Serial window. Maybe they can be displayed in a different Color with the value 0A or Even name ACK ?

It will also be handy if the terminal reacts to the control characters like \f or \033[2J to clear the screen from code

Yes nice ideas and sorry I missed this thread previously

I will experiment. I know the windows textbox currently used in the monitor can't display anything clever and can't do rtf so it need to change.

The serial reader currently uses the ascii reader and I am not sure if it is the reader or the just the text box that is filtering out the unprintable chars.

Needs investigation.
