I just purchased Visual Micro and I am using it with Atmel Studio 7. It seems when I set a breakpoint that variables are not automatically displayed in the output window. I need to explicitly set an action to display the variables. Just wanted to confirm whether this is correct or if I am doing something wrong?

That's right. The serial debugger needs to know at compile time what variables to watch. Please see the debug tutorials for more info. Use the "when hit" to report a message and/or watched {variables and expressions}.
