The options appeared after several restarts. Fantastic...

Options appeared, zadig driver installed,  but debug failed with the message.
I see JTAG port activity with the scope.

The upload was via serial port. Is it correct?

Well, all this is not so simple as advertised.
First, to connect to target I have to push EN button before.
Then I got a message:
"Cannot insert breakpoint 2. Cannot access memory at 0x400d11d7"
Next I got: "Exception not processed"
"The current stack frame was not found in the loaded module. Source code cannot be displayed for this location."
etc, etc,etc
In short, nothing works

The most interesting in the attachment

Hi thanks for testing, the GDB is new and will take a week or two for some boards to mature.

Unlike other Visual Micro menus, the debug menus appear only when a project is open, there is also a new toolbar called "Micro Debug Options".

No you should not need to press reset to start the board, we have not found that to be the case but will look at it.

>> The Wrover has more options than other boards however the Optimization setting on the debug menu is very important for esp boards. What have you set it too?

>> Upload using a different option to usb is set using the programmer menu options, should be same as Arduino IDE.

>> Yellow box at the top of this page shows how to get hold of the current config. This shows us the tool chain and compiler optimization settings etc.

Got it working by excluding mistakelly included M5STACK support.
Thanks a lot!
