Title: SerialMonitor pauses when It get a mouse click
Post by Evgeny Zhekaus on Sep 28th, 2019 at 11:08am
Hi,
When I click Serial Monitor, it stops working – nothing is printing. It’s kinda pause mode, I believe. However, how to resume it? Reconnecting leads to full restart of the device which is not good.

We work the same way in the serial monitor as visual studio wrks in its output windows.

If you click into a position when the monitor is running then the display will pause but the serial is still running.

Clicking the last line of the output or scolling to the end of the output or using keyboard (CTRL/End) to select the end of the output resumes.

While paused, the output is buffered so it is not lost. When it resumes it will show all data from the paused state.

Does this answer the question?
