OK. After much installing / updating from Microsoft, it's working again.

Now for a serious question Wink

How do I get rid of the test addin with the smiley icon?
The Add-in manager doesn't seem to offer any way of un-installing it.
I just pressed F5 to install it.

great.

if you open your test addin project and set it to debug (not release) you will see in the "start" properties the devenv.exe /resetaddin call for your addin

it is probably "MyAddin1.Connect". whatever it is you can run it from command line or follow the visual micro resetaddin instruction but using your addin and primary class name as shown above.

alternatively comment out the vs code that creates the tools menu item and start>debug which will run the reset but not add a new menu item

let me know if this doesn't make sense

I find the problem, it's my Panda Virus Scan.
I disabled the scan, remove and reinstall the AddOn and it works fine.

Greetings

Thanks for letting us know.

I would like to confirm that what you did was safe. I always run fully paid and up to date virus prevention and the software does not install any other components than those found in the selected install folder. If the addin software is downloaded from the VisualMicro.Com site or visualmicro.codeplex then it is safe.
