Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Error while installation

Hi,

I tried to install VisualMicro today but I got an error message

Error 1001. InstallUtilLib.dll: Unkown error.


I'm using Windows XP Pro 32Bit SP3 in an Parallels VM on an MacBook.
It is a clean Windows Installation, I only installed an antivir Software (Sophos Antivir 9.7), Visual Studio 2010 Pro (I did not install the SQL and Web dev stuff) and the Arduino v1 IDE.

I already did a full windows reinstall, but nothing changed.

Google brought me to http://www.techsupportforum.com/forums/f10/solved-error-1001-installutillib-dll-....
I tried all the posted sullutions, but nothing worked for me  Undecided

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?
Or ho I can install the addin manualy?

edit:

I did created an log file for the installation, but its a bit to long to post it here (1800 lines).
If somebody can read anything out of this, I'm happy to mail out the log file.

because the installer servers both vs 2008 and 2010 it uses .net3.5. but the addin runs .net4 in 2010

so you need both .net3.5 and .net4.0 installed

if installing .net 3.5 doesn't help then pls email the log to info at visualmicro.com
