Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Opening Serial monitor

When I open the serial monitor in visual studio 2010 I get this error


Any ideas on how will I fix this? Thanks!

oh thanks i will look into that and come back to you over next day or so. maybe it is using some .net 3.5 stuff by mistake.

out of interest, which versions of .net do you have loaded? one other question

+ if you find time please export your vm registry settings to file using regedit.exe. The path to the vm options is HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Visual Micro

Please also confirm that you are using VS 2010 SP1

where exactly in the regedit? 

I'm not using a vs 2010 sp1. should I update to SP1 now?
