Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Error 1001: InstallUtilLib.dll during install

I attempted to install VisualMicro on a Windows 8 system.  Received the following error during the install: " Error 1001: InstallUtilLib.dll: Unknown error."   

Has anyone else seen this?

Environment: Windows 8 Professional 64-bit Virtual Machine (VMWare), Visual Studio 2012 Pro Update 2.

This has installed without a problem on Win 7 with VS 2012 Pro update 2.

Hi,

To maintain compatibility with vs 2008 we need .net version 3.5 to be enabled.

You can enable .net3.5 via control panel.

Yes it's documented in quite a few places but many people miss it so obviously it is not in enough places Smiley
