Programming and debugging 2 boards
Mar 17th, 2015 at 8:45pm

Hi, Think I posted this in the wrong section so moved here.....
New to MS Visual Studio and Visual Micro this but loving them so far. Can I use 2 Arduinos and debug them? I want to play with a couple of wireless modules so need to program and debug 2 boards. This page suggests this is possible http://www.visualmicro.com/page/User-Guide.aspx?doc=Projects-and-Solutions.html
I have managed to program 2 boards to write a counter to the serial port as a test (Not totally sure how) and monitor both on different com ports but can't control the debugger. All a bit confused to be honest.
Any help appreciated
Thx

Hi John,

You can only debug one board at a time in a Visual Studio instance so you need to open up two copies of Visual Studio one for each project. Then you will get a clean debug session for each.

If you have not debugged before you should debug the blink sketch or something simple first

Thanks
