Unable to download to xmega

Gentlemen,

I am using a variant of xmegaduino for a board I developed. Visual Micro works fine!... except I cannot upload to the board.

xmega uses a serial port when connected (firmware running) and uses DFU (Device Firmware Update) to upload code. Unfortunately, it seems Visual Micro checks for COMx before uploading. Because this check fails, it does not upload.

What may I do?

Hi,

I have just removed a check on the port from the next release of Visual Micro. It was a historic check that the arduino ide also used to make but it appears the option has been removed from the arduino ide.

I think that will resolve the issue but it would be helpful to have your boards.txt and platform.txt (or entire core for testing).

The new release will be available during the next day or two

Thanks
