Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

The include path for Arduino 1.6 - NodeMCU 1.0 (E12E Module) is incorrect; the selection of a target should change the include path to prevent build errors

Hi,

Thanks for the post.

From what I can see visual micro is getting confused because you have an older copy of the esp tool chain installed under the ArduinoIde\hardware folder and you have also installed the toolchain using the "Board manager".

Of course I can look at fixing that bug but for now can you please use the zip from arduino.cc to install a clean copy of the arduino ide and then point visual micro to that. Then the esp install from the board manager will become active and work. 

Alternatively if you want to use the hardware you installed below the arduino ide folder then use board manager to uninstall the redundant version.
