So i just started using VM a few days ago, and initial impression is that its brilliant. A real programming IDE for Arduino!

All worked well initially, but now upload is broken. I may have changed a setting that killed it...
I'm using a 2560 mega board, and which ever programmer i select it fails to find USB. Com port is set correctly. I dont remember which was the default programmer option that worked.

When you select a programmer the "Always use programmer for upload" is automatically checked

You need to uncheck it because you do not have a programmer. After doing so upload will use standard usb/com.

A programmer is an additional hardware device that is usually connect to the 4 pin ICSP port on the board.
