Very new user with a question. I have Visual Micro installed and it all seems to work properly. I would now like to switch back to Visual Studio to do some C++ work. How do I get back to Studio?

Hi,

It's simpler than it seems.

You still have the standard Visual Studio C++ system in Visual Studio unchanged.

Visual Micro does use C++ projects but only if they contain a .ino source code of the same name as the project and in a folder of the same name. Otherwise a new C++ project is just a C++ project.

If you are confused because of tool bars you can find two Visual Micro options on the "Window" menu that cause the tool bars to only appear when an Arduino project is open (see prev para)

If I am missing some point please explain.

Thanks

Thanks for the response. Just's goes to show how green I am about this. I installed Visual Studio Community edition first and then installed Visual Micro as an extension. I was looking for a toggle of some sort to go from Studio to Micro. Time to get coding!
