Uploading To Due Native Port

I've never been able to get uploads using the Due Native port to work.  When I tried again today, I got the below truly perplexing output.  The selected board was "Arduino Due (Native USB Port)", which showed up in Device Manage as COM5.  The board that is assigned to COM11 wasn't even plugged into the PC at the time.

Quote:

Compiling 'SuperATC' for 'Arduino Due (Native USB Port)'
Build folder: x
Binary sketch size: 244,284 bytes (used 47% of a 524,288 byte maximum) (1.73 secs)

Uploading to I/O board using 'COM11'
Unable to auto-reset: COM11. Check that you have the correct port selected. If it is correct, try pressing the board's reset button after initiating the upload.

Couldn't find Leonardo on the selected port. Check that you have the correct port selected.  If it is correct, try pressing the board's reset button after initiating the upload.

What's the trick?

Ray L.

You don't say what port is selected in visual micro tool bar or visual micro menu?

Can you see any ports?

What happens when you click reset on the board when you see PORTS {} / {}

What happens if you enter COM5 into "project properties>upload port"

Tim,

1. The only port that shows up in VisualMicro is COM11, even though it's not physically there, but COM5 is.

2. Have not tried clicking reset (it's hard to get to on my board....).  I will try it tonight.

3. I will try entering a port tonight.  Didn't know you could even do that....

Regards,
Ray L.
