I tried it a few months ago and it worked okay. Have you tried it?

I just remembered that after I tested the esp32 they changed the tool chain. When I looked it was part finished.

You can make it work in Visual Micro if you need to but will involve moving a folder.

Let me know if you need me to re-look at it.

I tested esp32 again and it installs and should work fine as long as you follow the esp32 windows install guide.

My anti virus reports a trojan in an import file and the definition is either incorrect or files are missing for upload.

The arduino ide reports the same issue but this might be related to the symantec anti-virus I am using.

I filed the report with the esp guys on git.

https://github.com/espressif/arduino-esp32/issues/357

So it looks to work well if you don't hit the trojan issues which look to be false positives.

When it works in the Arduino IDE it will work in Visual Micro.

There will be an update to visual micro over the next few days that solves some intellisense issues for the esp32

The esp32 windows install guide for the Arduino IDE is here:-
