Multiply Nested Release/Debug Folders
Aug 26th, 2019 at 2:26pm
Print Post
Suddenly, for unknown reasons VM pluggins in VS2015 and VS2017 began to generate nested Debug/Release folders as on picture.
At very first compilation when no Release/Debug folders exists, Linking ends with cannot find dependence files .cpp.d.
If I repeat compilation /Release/Release structure created with .cpp.d in deeper Release folder and compilation OK.
Each subsequent compilation adds new Release or Debug folders etc, etc.

The only options that affect both ide's are the global options.

What is the Compiler Temp Build Folder set to in tools>options>visual micro

It's the build folder but we see it is empty so ignore.

Does the problem happen in a new project?
