AVR and PIC (Read 95 times)

Hi! I started about a year ago learning about microcontrollers and I got myself an Arduino. I built some projects, I read a lot and learned a lot. Now I want to go next level and program microcontrollers without the Arduino libraries. I want to start to program the Atmega328p with Atmel Studio and I want to buy the Pickit3 to start with PICs. Is it a good start? Will programming the 328p learn me more about embedded?

Yes they sound like good choices.
