Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
 
Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

This is really a question for Microsoft, and they have some information here.

There are proposed hacks to do more than seen above, but they are unsupported and would be ignored or undone by each update to VS, so not a good idea for many.

Yes a Microsoft question however here are some tips.

Visual Studio just uses the official locations for temp and program data. If you move your locations then that will be the right solution.

Change your AppData and Temp. This video came high in the google search of how to do that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFnT9EF_vMg

If you don't move your app data then another issue is that appdata\Local is where board packages are installed by Visual Micro and then Arduino IDE. In Visual Micro tools>options>visual micro, there is a property called Contributions folder. Enter a path to your larger drive such as d:\data\board_packages then open board manager in visual micro and reinstall any packages you want to use.

However moving your AppData would be a good start. It's normally in c:\users\[your name]
