After update "fatal error: VM_DBG.h: No such file or directory"

Hi

I'm using VisualMicro with Visual Studio 2017 for Development for ESP32. Today I updated VisualMicro and the ESP32-Toolchain via Micro Explorer to the latest versions.
Now everytime I try to compile the following error show up:

ControllerEsp32.ino: 2:20: fatal error: VM_DBG.h: No such file or directory

What could be wrong?

Edit: In Release mode the project compiles but Debug mode is broken now.

Thanks

Hi

If you switch off debugging the error will go away. To switch it off change "Debug" to "Release" on the toolbar.

We will look into why that has happened and might have some more questions. It would help if you follow the guide in yellow BEFORE switching off debugging.

Thanks

Thank you. It looks like you have switched off "vMicro>Compiler>Deep Search for Libraries". There appears to be a bug in the recent builds if "deep search" is switch off.

We will make a new release during the next few days with a fix.

In the meantime if you need soft debugging then please switch "deep search" back on.

Thanks

Hi
Is there any news on this topic?
With deep search enabled the build takes about 5 minutes despite SSD.

Hi

Sorry if this wasn't in the release notes of the past few weeks. Did you try the latest update? It would be useful to have the output again but with the latest then we can jump on it.

Thanks

Hi

I only watched the release notes and didn't install anything yet. I will try the latest version.

Great. I was wrong it was in the May 17th release notes but I forgot to update this thread.

Visual Micro - Release 20.05.18.9

Fix Serial debugger failed to locate the debug libraries if "deep search for libraries" had been disabled.

Thanks again.
