Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Visual Studio 2019 always crashes a while after debugging

Hi,

I've just started trying VisualMicro and I like it very much. But after trying out the debug feature, Visual Studio completely crashes and restarts. 
I cannot tell what exactly is required to make it crash. It seems to a work a few minutes after stopping the debugging. Sometimes it's hitting F12 on a function call, sometimes it's selecting a source file in the solution explorer. Nothing specific so far.

Before exploring the debug feature this did not happen. After a crash - as long as I don't debug - everything remains stable.

Do you have any idea?

It's just an Arduino Uno and the blinking onboard LED.

Update, the microsoft debugger in the latest vs2019 does crash sometimes when opening and closing its tool windows. The same has reported to happen when floating the re-docking or moving tool windows during the debug session.

This is not related to visual micro or anything other than a problem that microsoft are looking into fixing. It has been reported to them by multiple different sources.
