Solved problems debugging using STLINKv2

Hi,

I didn't know where i had to put this on the forum, but i think this can be useful.

I had a lot of problems setting up debugging using a STLINKv2 (with ribbon cable) on a bluepill.

i followed the debug troubleshoot and instructions on the website, updated the USB driver of the STM32 STLink driver.

the first problem was OpenOCD returning "Error: couldn't bind tcl to socket on port 6666: No error"
this means that port 6666 is already in use.

after solving this, the upload and debugging was very instable --> after pausing variable values waren't correct and sometimes the debugging suddenly stops.

After i downgraded the USB driver to the original driver from the ST website (v2.1.0.0) 8-6-2017.
everything works fine.
