New Install to VS19 - Serial Not Recognised in Code

I've just installed VisualMicro.

I got a basic LED blink sketch to work but I am getting error messages when using a Sparkfun LSM9DS1 example and libaries. In particular "Serial" is not being recognised (see attached screenshot). Any ideas what is wrong?

I got some error messages on install (see attached) but ignored them. Would that affect things?

Thanks

Hi

The installer errors appear to be microsoft packages failing to install. It might be that you VS requires repair. What version of VS is installed see that in Help>about?

For the build or intellisense errors please follow the guide at the top of this forum. Please sent the log as a .txt file.

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for the response

VS19 16.9.4 is installed.

I had a look at the guide and it didn't help me with the intellisense error.

I have now found that the error (not recognising Serial.begin) in intellisense disappears after the code is built but then reappears after the file is resaved. Any idea what is going wrong?

Output file is attached.

Thanks
