May 2018: Over the next year Visual Micro will transition to VS 2017 only. The VS 2012-2015 versions of Visual Micro will be discontinued (remain working but no updates). This is because they prevent tight integration between Visual Micro and GDB.

Ensure the Android C++ Tools are installed (we use the MI debugger that the tools install)
Install the Visual Micro GDB Launcher Extension for Visual Studio 2017
note: Gdb, Visual Micro and any other required components can be installed in any order
