Open .pde project

I've just tried to open a .pde project and it doesn't work. I get all sorts of error messages, including one that tells me it couldn't find a .pde / .ino file!

Any idea what's broken this? This worked fine before I upgraded.

are you using 2008 or 2010? i just tried both with v26 by opening an existing solutions containing two sketch projects. Both opened and compiled fine.
The changes from v25 to v26 are minor and should not affect this.
1)
Please close vs, use task manager to terminate any remaining envdte.exe processes and re-apply/repair the V26 install.

or

2)
How are you opening your project?
Opening a solution?
Opening a project?
Opening a .pde or .ino?
Using the recent list?
If recent list please check that the item exists.

I'll check this thread for more info from you later but won't be able to reply for 12 hours or so. I really don't think it is a vm issue but I have always got an open mind Smiley

I'm using VS2008.

I wasn't aware of V26. I was using V23. I've installed V26 and I'm not seeing the problems any more.

oh, please tell me which version you upgraded from and to when you hit the problem. I think it was a failed upgrade but would like to investigate just so I know what happened.

ps: under the downloads section on the codeplex vm home page there is an email notifications checkbox. It's worth clicking it so that codeplex notifies you of new versions. Seeing that much of the latest stuff has been a result of your feedback you might like the notifications but can always switch it off again later if it becomes annoying

I was using the version you released before Christmas and then upgraded to v23. That's when I had all the problems with .pde files. I then upgraded to v26 when I discovered its existence. Since then I've not had the problems.

I found out about the email notification earlier today and turned it on. Hopefully that will keep me up to date.
