Thanks very much for the feed back. it's always great to hear it is going to be useful.
It would really help to understand the following and anything else you think will be useful...
1) About You You say novice, had you no previous experience of using the Arduino IDE at all?
What about micro-controllers? Does the steep learning curve include learning the C++ code and micro-controllers?
Had you any experience of any development ide prior to using Arduino?
Any prior programming experience in any language?
2) About Visual Studio and the Plugin Which parts of vs did you find confusing?
Was it easy/obvious to find "File>Open>Arduino Project"?
Was is easy/obvious to find "File>New>Arduino Project"?
Would you have found it easier if there was a special tool bar with Arduino "looking" compile/upload buttons?
Was is easy/obvious to find "Project>Add>Arduino Library"?
3) About Our Tutorials When you first found the product did you easily see the "
Getting Started" guide and "
How to Test a New Installation" guide?
Did you find the wiki easily? Was it helpful?
Did you use the "Search" on the main web site? Was it useful?
4) About General Usage You might have answered this above but have you found non-arduino features of Visual Studio difficult to locate. If so, then can you please give a few examples of some of the features you are using that were difficult to find. Or of anything else you found confusing?
I would really appreciate your answers. It will help to understand which areas to improve.
