Problem with custom board

Hi!
Im trying to add a new custom board according to this tutorial:
http://www.visualmicro.com/category/Installation.aspx

i.e. Im placing it in my sketch folder like the tutorial suggests.
My problem is that after restarting VS I only can see the board in the board drop down list...not in  the tools->Arduin->Boards menu.....Here the previous board is selected and the new custom board is not in the list. When I build it uses the board selected in the tools->arduino->boards list, i.e. the wrong one, even if i selected the correct board in the drop-down list.
