Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Arduino 1.5 support
note: hardware libs and debug coming soon

Features for Advanced Users 

add - Building on the improvements in 1305.01 for modified cores the next release will include custom hardware for the Arduino Due.

add - Support for vmboards.txt as optinal alternative to boards.txt. This allows for custom hardware to be used that the standard Arduino IDE can not see. This is less confusing considering that the Arduino IDE does not support the additional features that Visual Micro provides.

add: Project property to disable the automatic generation of prototypes (for pde and ino files) during the build process. "Micro General (Project Global)>Generate Prototypes=False". The default is True, setting this prperty to false will prevent your project from being compiled using the Arduino Ide (experts only!!).

The installer for Atrmel Studio appears to be working better in this release. 

If you have problems please read the Atmel Studio page.

This release is mainly an update for Visual Studio users with a few fixes and additions. Some still to be documented.

The final work or Arduino 1.5.3+ compatibility is to implement the debugger for the "Due" and to cater for the new arduino 1.5.3 library format. 

In my opinion the new library format is a relief and makes the compile process cleaner.

The latest version of Visual Micro 1305.9 includes 1.5.x build and upload, ex lib support. So please give it a try to ensure the build process works
