Before logging an issue, please update to the latest release of Visual Micro from the Downloads Page.

When Logging a Support Issue in the Forum, please ensure you have also:-

  • Enabled vMicro > Compiler > Show Build Properties
  • Re-Compile your program with these settings enabled
  		Save the new Output to a Text File and....
  • Click the Reply button and attach as .txt file OR
  • Click here to Email us with the file attached, and a link to your post
Support requests without the output above may be impossible to answer, so please help us to help you

Blanks in windows user name

For some reasons I am using my full name including blanks as user name in Windows most likely resulting in the error message as shown:
D:\arduino-1.5.2/hardware/tools/g++_arm_none_eabi/bin/arm-none-eabi-ar rcs C:\Users\Dr. Walter Luhs\AppData\Local\VMicro\Arduino\Builds\LDC_TFT_800\arduino_due_x_dbg/core.a "C:\Users\Dr. Walter ndlers.c.o"
arm-none-eabi-ar* : : Walter: No such file or directory

Hi, Thanks for feed back. Arduino 1.5 is beta, this is a known bug and will be fixed in the next release due this week

ps: this is also a problem for all windows xp users, hopefully we have a new release today or tomorrow with better 1.5 support.

Hi Walter,

I don't know if you follow the project on codeplex and have email notification of new releases. 

There is a new release if you click the DOWNLOADS button at the top and then click the "Beta Chanel" on the right. The release number is 1305.21

Sorry for my late response, have been out. Yes, the initial problem has been solved! I successfully could upload a standard example to my Arduino Due. However my own project fails with: "VM_Boards.h : #error "Please edit Boards.h with a hardware abstraction for this board"
VM_Boards.h : : In function 'unsigned char readPort(byte, byte)':" 
Uploading works with the Arduino IDE 1.52.

Hi Walter,

The 1.5 is in beta for the new couple of weeks (especially for native hardware libraries and debug), this looks like a debugger compiler error.

Can you please switch off debugging for the project (Micro Debug=None) or switch to a configuration for which you have NOT set (Micro debug=Full)

Can you then please try to compile and upload. Let us first establish if you "Due" project works before switching on debug

Hi Tim,
today I switched to VS2012. Surprisingly the recent error message disappeared! I am very pleased that I can work now without limitation under VS which is a great help thanks to your outstanding effort! Nevertheless I will monitor the further developments.
