Hack-a-day

Hi Tim,

Pardon me barging in here but; Have you submitted your project to hack-a-day?
I would think they would do a nice blog on it.

It's not much; but they did accept a video reply of mine on a DIY ESR meter design I did where I plugged your program.
You can see it at http://hackaday.com/2013/03/16/testing-caps-with-a-diy-esr-meter/

There are a couple of annotations at the beginning and then (fast forward to 15:30) I give it a big thumbs up verbally.

Hi Dennis,

Yes but they ignore everything, I suspect it was because of the need for Microsoft VS Pro. I am sure they will pick the Atmel connection up sometime

I've run out of time, have to concentrate on the software. If it gets blogged then great!

It's the links back to the vm site that will help, links to other sites dilutes my work

yair, I have checked. I have a "Visual Micro" facebook user. Do you think the facebook account to invest in is Visual Micro or Time Leek.

Sorry to hear that Tim,

YouTube is restrictive and if I could, I would link the annotations back to your site. Posting the URL in the video and description is all I'm allowed unless you are on the approved list.

Dennis, you have done more than enough. Thank you, I wish every user did what you have done.

My comment about links relates to hack-a-day pointing back to visual micro. That will really help, it is the links on other sites that make all the difference from a google perspective but I knwo that word of mouth is also useful.

Your youtube videos are fine, if you can change visualmicro.com in the descriptions to http:\www.visualmicro.com this would give users a more obvious way of getting to the vm site but no prob if not. As you say, the vids plug vm anyway so I can't ask for more than that  Smiley

Thanks for pointing this out Tim!

Somehow in my copy and pasting the descriptions in some of the videos didn't get the full http:// prefix.
I got them fixed along with the link on Hack-a-Day and Arduino.cc.

I'll keep plugging away and link Visual Micro where I can. I know you have put a ton of work in this project and I really appreciate a tool like yours being available to tinkers like me.
