Where can I find release 1305.21?

I have registered and paid for the debugger and I have version 1305.21 installed but I believe version 1305.21 is available.  The Beta channel is mentioned but I cannot find it.

Sad

Hi,

Go to the download site and click the big DOWNLOADS (plural) button at the top of the screen (not the DOWNLOAD button)

Then on the right hand side you will see the (Beta Channel)

Tim,  Thanks for that.
I have downloaded Ver 1.1305.21 and in Atmel studio 6 the intellisense doesn't work.  The VM path is correct in the addin manager and I tried the repair function of the install as per a forum thread still no joy with intellisense.

Intellisense works perfectly in VS12 loaded on the same machine.

Also if I have a code error VM does not appear to 'highlight' the erroneous code in either AS or VS12.  Should it identify erroneous code in some way?

many thanks

Bob

Hi Bob,

Try running the installer again and click repair, hopefully that will fix the intellisense issue in Atmel Studio.

As for errors not being highlighted in VS or Ateml, interesting because vm is not responsible for that and both apps use a different mechanism.

Are both systems are compiling okay? Both allowing you to select an Arduino board?

Tim, I have tried the 'repair' option again, I had tried it before my last email. Intellisense does not work under AS but works perfectly under VS12.  I can select boards, upload code, download code to Arduino in both versions but no intellisense under AS.
I noticed that the properties window displays information in VS whereas it does not under AS.

Okay so the compile means the addin is active.

Atmel project properties

You will see this post at the top of the atmel forum board.
http://www.visualmicro.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1367685306

Atmel forgot to include an update to the last version (april 2013). You must use that version of Atmel Studio and apply the patch from the link above. The patch will not be required in future versions of Atmel Studio

Intellisense for pde/ino files

This is managed by the VisualAssixtX plugin for which the Visual Micro installer sets a few registry keys during install.

Are you getting syntax color code in pde/ino and are you using Atmel Studio 6.1?

Thanks

Tim, I have added the 'patch' again as I had already added it.  It made no difference.  I am using AS ver 6.1.  I have got syntax highlighting / colouring. No intellisense, no properties in the properties window.  No indication of errors in code.

In VS12 everything works as it should.  In my earlier post I mentioned error highlighting was not working, it was and is! Sorry I was confused switching between VS12 and AS.

I am primarily interested in using AS because I have the free trial version of VS12 and I am afraid that Microsoft could pull the plug.  Due pressures of work I could not devote the time that I wanted to on my Arduino projects and so I have become rusty on the VS12 capabilities.

Anyway I would like to resolve the issues with AS 6.1

Thanks

Bob

Hi Bob,

Is Atmel compiling okay and is the Arduino board name correctly displayed during compile?

Does Atmel allow you to select an Arduino board from the tools menu and tool bar?

Thanks

Tim, yes As does let me select various boards, it does display them correctly, it does compile and download the code correctly.  If I select the .ino file in the solution provider window it does show some information in the properties window.
Under options - VM -System - available version it has 1.1305.09.

Under options - Vm - Version - version it has 1.1305.21

Still no joy with Intellisense

Tim, you are a star.  The registry changes fixed the problem.  I was extremely happy to buy 3 machine licences at the discounted rate, the least I can do to support all the hard work put in by you.  now its sorted out I'll put copies on my laptop and workshop PC.
Thanks again

Great thanks for your support.

I hope you don't have the same install problem on the other machines. If you do please let me know.

Thanks
