The given key was not present in the dictionary

Hi,

I'm not sure if I ever tried uploading with the latest version before, so I'm not entirely sure when or why this the following problem now occurs. When uploading (avrispmk2 to attiny84), a popup from Visual.Micro.Visual.Studio.Arduino.10 appears:

Unexpected error during upload
The given key was not present in the dictionary

The Command output just shows:

Compiling 'firmware' for 'ATtiny84 @ 8 MHz  (internal oscillator; BOD disabled)'
Binary sketch size: 5530 bytes (used 68% of a 8192 byte maximum) (0,67 secs)
Uploading to I/O board using 'avrispmkii'

When I enable verbose output during upload in the Arduino prefs, nothing shows up, so I don't think actual uploading has started yet.

Uploading from Arduino IDE works just fine..

I know someone has used the Arduino as isp to upload using programmer.

We can re-test this over the next day or so but in the meantime it's worth trying these things.

Please try copying the programmers.txt from "arduinoide/hardware/arduino" to the location where you have installed the attiny boards.txt custom definition. If Atmel is still open the click "tools>re-load tool chains"

Does this fix it?

ps: if that works we will know what bug to fix. The programmers system changed in the versions to support the programmers of different hardware vendors.

I'm not sure if this message had anything to do with it. After restarting my PC the problem had vanished. Sorry about bugging you.

Hi,

Great thanks for the feed back. That sounds like atmel or visual studio hasn't restarted properly after an upgrade.

But anyway it is good to know it is all working.
