In vs2012 this tool works fine (can’t attach screenshot because I uninstall vs2012), but after release of the vs 2013 i install it and install yours tool, but menu items file->new->Sketch project and file->open->Sketch project are disabled.
But in Atmel studio 6.1 (installed later than vs2013)  everything is ok

Hi,

Thanks for the post.

Please confirm the following:-

Under "Tools>Addin Manager" is there a Visual Micro entry and  are the tick boxes ticked against it?

If you use File>Open>Text File to open a master [sketch].ino does Visual Micro detect the opening of the .ino and automatically create a Visual Studio project?

Can you use the standard Visual Studio "File>New Project" option to create a new empty C++ project?

Thanks

If you use File>Open>Text File to open a master...

No, it tries to open file then create a new project and it crashes:

---------------------------
Visual Micro
---------------------------
Unable to write intellisense of sketch

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.VisualStudio.VCProjectEngine, Version=11.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Native C++ project works fine

Right thanks, it looks like we need to alter a references for installations of VS 2013 on machines that have never had VS 2012 installed.

Thanks we will test over the next week and make a new version.

Hi,

It should only be a week or so but you can just install vs 2012 pro, you don't need to use vs 2012 just needs to be installed then you can use 2013 without problem

I just installed Visual Studio Professional 2013 and Visual Micro (v1.1309.11) a few days ago.
And I don't believe I ever had an Visual Studio version installed on my system. (I always used Eclipse)

But I don't have this issue, everything installed and runs fine. Well, for as far as I am in figuring out how this program works.
Both: "file->new->Sketch project" and "file->open->Sketch project" are enabled and working.

In my install the commandline option is disabled. Enabling it Creates the following error multiple times, and I afterwards I can't open anything arduino without this error reappearing.
Quote:
The Add-in supporting this command could not be loaded.
Do you wish to remove the command?
If you choose yes, you can re-create the command by reinstalling the Add-in.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know why some users have this problem but the next version should fix it anyway.

I assume you have switched the 3rd checkbox off again and are working okay without error?

Thanks

Visual Studio 2013 Community Edition was released by Microsoft in November 2014. The community edition is free and fully support by the Visual Micro plugin

Update August 2015: Visual Studio 2015 is now available and a new Visual Micro Extension is available from the Visual Studio Gallery.
