Hi,

does someone know how to disable the spash screen in AtmelStudio, or reduce the time it's displayed ? Sometimes, it's displayed for a very loooooooooooong time... we know we just started AtmelStudio  Sad.

Thanks

Hi,

Yes it takes a long time, I put spy on it once and found it loading hundreds of xml files. I don't know what your pc power is my previous machine used to take a long time to load Atmel. With my new machine it takes about 6 seconds. (i8 with SDD)

If your machine is struggling it's worth seeing how long it takes with your virus checker off (temporary test). Those xml files might be causing the virus checker to work very hard for no good reason. Just a guess.

To answer your question I suspect the splash screen is opened from another thread and that actually Atmel Studio is busy loading so without the splash the ide would still be unusable.
