Visual Micro and STK600 (Read 3845 times)

	Is there a method or procedure to use Visual Micro /w AtmelStudio while using an STK600. Would be nice to use Visual Micro with the STK600 to program other Atmel chips without having to use the more traditional method

	Hi Joeb, I am no expert there are a few articles in this forum about it and I am not sure what the outcome was. I think the forum at arduino.cc might be the place to start. Visual Micro uses the same config system as Arduino 1.5 which allows you to add your own programmer to the avr hardware programmers list. Normally arduino calls avrdude.exe but in the v1.5 arduinoide/hardware/avr/programmers.txt can be extended to use a different exe. You will need the beta of visual micro for programmer changes to be recognized, the top of the home page has a link to the beta section. Look forward to hearing the result thanks
